  13. WHAT IS WEBFORD?
  14. ================

  16. Webford is a Windows-based PC application that makes it easy to create 
  17. and edit pages for the World Wide Web. It functions in a very similar 
  18. manner to a simple word processing package, except that it enables users 
  19. to easily format documents with HyperText Markup Language (HTML) tags. 
  20.  
  21. Webford does not provide every HTML facility available, but it does 
  22. provide easy access to all of the most commonly used HTML tags, includes 
  23. useful features such as pre-defined forms and JavaScript functions, and 
  24. enables you to create Web pages based on your own templates.

  26. Through Webford a piece of selected text can be formatted to change its 
  27. appearance and position, or equally to make it a heading, a table, a 
  28. list, or a link. Images and horizontal rules can be specified and 
  29. inserted, the colours and background for a page can be easily changed, 
  30. and the system can even open your favourite browser to let you see how 
  31. your Web page looks. Webford can do all this and much more with a minimum 
  32. of effort.

  34. Webford is compatible with Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.

  40. Webford is freeware, available to everyone free of charge.

  44. that I will know how many people are using the system.

  55. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  58. To be able to use Webford you will require the following:

  61. -  IBM compatible PC with 386 processor or greater.
  62. -  8 MB or more of RAM.
  63. -  Microsoft Windows version 3.1 or higher.
  64. -  A mouse.

  66. If you would like to be able to test Web pages you will also require 
  67. access to Web browser software such as Netscape Navigator or Internet 
  68. Explorer.

  71. WEBFORD 2.0 LICENSE AGREEMENT

  74. Webford version 2.0 is provided free of charge. The software's author, 
  75. Jonathan Walsh, grants to you a nonexclusive and royalty-free right to 
  76. make, use and distribute an unlimited number of copies of the software, 
  77. provided that copies are not distributed for profit, the software is 
  78. not modified in any way, and each copy includes all of the associated 
  79. files.

  82. software in any way.

  85. the explicit written permission of the author.
